Chai-tini Recipe

Chai-tini Recipe

Fun, healthy drinks you say? Yes! It can be done. Creativity, health and fun all in one glass.

I think my love of chai is quite evident. I keep circulating back to these delicious Indian spices at any time of year. Whether it’s warm outside or snowy and cold, I LOVE chai!

Warm spicy chai in the cooler months is one of my all time favourite drinks. Heck, I even like it cold! Cold chai goes at any time of year, in my world.  I make a chai smoothie regardless of the time of year.

For years, I’ve used chai as a martini base for cocktails or mocktails. I realized I didn’t include the recipe in my My Top 5 Healthy Mocktails Recipes.  Maybe because it’s so simple. Basically, it’s just a chilled chai tea latte.

So here’s the recipe two ways; made with my chai tea recipe or using tea leaves.

You can use it as a mocktail to keep it totally clean or use the suggested alcohol option for a cocktail that isn’t loaded with all kinds of sugar or chemicals.

Chai-tini (from tea leaves or tea bag)

Sweetener of choice, to taste (coconut sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc)
Cinnamon sticks and star anise for garnish

  • Shake all ingredients and ice cubes together in a shaker
  • Serve in a chilled martini glass
  • Garnish with cinnamon stick & star anise

Cheers to chilled chai, Cha-ching!
